Christina Goerdt was raised in Cotton, MN and received her Bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Christina has spent over eight years working in behavioral mental health, primarily with youth and adolescents. She spent five years as a residential treatment counselor, and also has experience in CTSS/Case Management. She earned her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Wisconsin, Superior and is currently working to complete licensure requirements to earn her LPCC. Christina utilizes a variety of modalities and theories, tailoring each to fit the clients’ needs. She practices a trauma focused, strength based, person-centered approach and believes the client is the most intricate part of the therapeutic process. She has a background and interest in working with individuals who struggle with complex trauma, personality disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), Bipolar Disorders, attachment issues, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She is socially informed and knowledgeable on the community and societal issues experienced by BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals and is welcoming and accepting of members within those communities.
In her down time, she enjoys traveling the world, propagating plants, spending time in nature, and playing with her animals.
